Parish Registration and
Active Parishioner Status
Please make Christ Our King your parish by completing the online registration form or filling out a paper registration card. The online form can be found by clicking here. Cards can be found in the rear of the church or by visiting the Parish Office in the Life Center.
It has become a general procedure that statements testifying to the active, participating, contributing status of an individual be provided for those wishing to be sacramental sponsors or receive parishioner rates for Catholic school tuition. We cannot issue such statements if you are not a registered and active member of Christ Our King. You must use the offertory envelopes provided to registered parishioners to verify your active status.

At all weekend Masses, August 22-23, Fr. Michael Okere will make a mission appeal on behalf of the Archdiocese of Owerri, Nigeria. The Archdiocese provides spiritual, pastoral, educational, healthcare, and emergency services to more than one million Catholics. Mission funds help to finance the training of seminarians and the rehabilitation of aging hospitals, churches, and schools. Christ Our King will offer a weekly tithe to the appeal. Parishioners who wish to contribute individually may place an additional check in the collection basket; the check should should be made payable to Christ Our King, and the memo line should read: "Nigeria Mission."

Welcome, Fr. Fryml
COK is blessed to welcome a third priest to the pastoral staff, Father Andrew Fryml. Fr. Fryml grew up in Spartanburg, completed his seminary training at St. Mary’s Seminary in Houston, Texas, and was ordained at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in 2017. He comes to us after three years of ministry in Columbia at the Basilica of St. Peter and at Cardinal Newman High School. Fr. Fryml's duties at COK will be limited, as he will also be serving as Chaplain for Bishop England High School and the College of Charleston. COK welcomes Fr. Fryml warmly!
Suspension of Nursery and Childcare
Until further notice, due to health and safety concerns related to COVID-19, the Nursery and Child Care programs previously offered during Masses have been suspended.
Penance & Reconciliation
Confessions are heard on Saturday mornings from 8:30 until 9:30.
Storage Space Needed
The St. Vincent de Paul Society provides furniture and household items (dishes, linens, pot & pans, beds, sofas, etc.) at NO cost to those in need. The storage space currently used by St. Vincent de Paul will soon be occupied by ECCO, due to an increase in demand created by the coronavirus. St. Vincent de Paul needs a new location.
If you know of a space that could be used as a distribution center by St. Vincent de Paul (free of charge), please call Tom Couture at 843-364-7604. Thank you!
Christ Our King's Prison Ministry is calling for donations of the following items for men in prison: bar soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes. Please leave items in the basket located at the main entrance to the Life Center/Parish Office.
Mass Attendance during the Pandemic
If you are 65 or older, or if you feel sick, have a respiratory condition, or are immunocompromised, the CDC recommends that you continue to avoid crowds and public gatherings. Bishop Guglielmone's dispensation from the obligation to attend Mass remains in effect for those who wish to stay home for their own health and safety.
