The Beach House
Christ Our King seniors are blessed to be able to gather at the Beach House. Located on Russell Drive (across the street from the School Gym), the Beach House offers a comfortable environment for friends to meet, share a cup of coffee, and participate in activities.
The Beach House has a porch with rockers, a library, a piano, a billiards table, a family-style kitchen, a café space, an outdoor fireplace, a fire pit, vegetable gardens, offices, and meeting space.
Christ Our King seniors enjoy gathering regularly in small groups and participating annually in events such as the Ice Cream Social, the Christmas Tea, and celebrations to commemorate to Mardi Gras, St. Joseph Day and St. Patrick's Day. The seniors also enjoy occasional luncheons and performances by musical ensembles like the Coastal Belles.
The Director of Pastoral Care and Senior Ministry is available as a resource for seniors and their families. Issues surrounding aging can be challenging to navigate. Questions may arise about managing nutrition, health care, independence, and long-term planning. Parishioners looking for guidance are encouraged to contact Marie Donnelly.
