Young Adult Catholics - Who are we?

We are a group of young adults, single and married, in their 20's and 30's, who get together to enjoy fun, laughter and friends. We strive to encourage one another to explore our relationships with Jesus, the Church, and one another. We hope you can hang out with us; whether it's sharing a cup of coffee, participating in a theological discussion, playing a game of kickball, or taking the time to improve our community.

Upcoming YAM Events

Breaking Bread

Social events are an important part of YAM, bringing together fellow parishioners for fun and friendship. Whether it's a day at the beach and kickball, a night out for dinner, or a game night at a fellow member's place, you can count on having a good time Breaking Bread.

For information on upcoming social events, check the calendar above for events titled "Breaking Bread".

If you have any questions, please email Alison Childress at achildress@warpweftandco.com or call 425-1243.

Helping Hands

Social service is a staple of Christian life, and accordingly YAM does group volunteer events roughly once a month. In the past, we have helped Habitat for Humanity build houses, reorganized ECCO warehouse, and helped develop the parish garden. "Helping Hands" is normally held on a Saturday morning until lunchtime, and is a great way to energize your day.

For more information on the next Helping Hands event, contact Frank Tobin at 514-1395 or ftobin@neverending.org, or see the calendar above for events listed as "Helping Hands".

Soul Food

Do you have some free time on Wednesday nights? Then join the Young Adult Ministry at 7:00 PM in Conference Room A of the Life Center.

Soul Food is when the young adults of Christ Our King come together and ignite a spiritual spark. There are great stories, intriguing biblical discussions, and challenging life applications conducted by young adults for other young adults. Our goal is not to be theology scholars but rather encourage one another to be comfortable discussing our belief in Christ and the Catholic Church.

We hope you can make it for one of these meetings. For more information please contact David Childress 214-1999, davidpchildress@yahoo.com.

Light refreshments will be served. Bring a Bible if you can but it's not required. We hope you can join us, Wednesdays at 7 in the Life center. You'll be eternally grateful!

(Please note that occassionally Soul Food does not meet on a Wednesday night due to holidays or a short break; confirm with the calendar above if you are unsure if there will be a meeting the night you come.)
