Why we love the MOM's group

Mother

It's a great opportunity to strengthen my spirituality and at the same time learn parenting tips from other moms. It's a great break from my son!

As moms our lives are so busy we rarely have time for ourselves. The Wednesday meetings have granted me a very welcomed opportunity to focus on my spirituality and relationship with God. Sharing this with the other moms and hearing their perspectives has deepened my faith. As an added blessing, I have made some wonderful new friends.

I really cherish the time spent each week with this group of friends, sharing, listening, and learning about our growing faith. I draw strength and gain comfort when discussing the joys and trials of our common call to motherhood.

I love to be a part of the MOMs group because it's a chance to get in touch with your spiritual side and at the same time make new friends with whom you can share, on a common level your feelings, concerns and laughs. And you get to share great lunches prepared by these very talented "MOMS".

Mom's Group has been such a wonderful part of my week for the past 3 and half years.B The books that we read together and discuss have helped me focus on my spirituality and on how to bring it into my family life.B My family talks more about God and prays more together since I've been in this group.B I would recommend this group to any mother who wants a support group of other women that understand completely that mothering is truly a ministry.

I can't imagine a week without my MOMs Group. Connecting with women of faith is something I look forward to, as it helps my spiritual life and my toddler daughter's social interaction. I enjoy the discussions we moms have about our current Bible study or book we're reading, and I love hearing each others' experiences as mothers and grandmothers. Being in the MOMs Group has inspired me to grow in my prayer life. Also, as a stepmother of three, I'm blessed to know that moms are praying for me and my family, as I am also praying for them. It's very important for me to connect with other moms, and being part of the MOMs Group reassures me that I'm not alone on this journey of motherhood. Also, once a month, the MOMs Group serves the poor in a downtown Soup Kitchen. My experience serving there was very emotional and humbling, and I'll never forget it; I look forward to serving there with my MOMs again.
